Comments are welcome, and encouraged. However, comments are moderated. They do not automatically show up on the blog--they have to be accepted before publication. It may be several hours before your comments show up, but that doesn't mean that they aren't being processed. A name and an email address that at least appear legitimate are required for posting comments.
So long as you give an accurate email address, or have something intelligent to say, our bias is to liberally allow comments, including those that we disagree with. We're happy to have a vibrant debate here. The comments engine requires an email address, which can obviously be faked. You have no right to expect your comments to be posted if you are obviously faking your email address. Crude, profane or obscene comments will not be posted. Civility should be the order of the day. Also, the blog has a blog-spam filter, so don't bother trying to blog spam us. The blog is our property, and we have the right to set whatever comments policy we wish, and to inconsistently enforce the policy if we choose.
